MEET OUR FOUNDER
GEORGE KAISER
George Kaiser was born on August 28, 1953, in Thailand. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in engineering, machinery, and the growing automotive sector — an interest that would go on to shape both his career and the founding of Siam Tires Export.
Early Life and Education
George’s formal education began in 1959 at Ban Chalung School in southern Thailand, followed by secondary school at Hatyai Wittayalai School from 1965 to 1971. At around 18 years old, he moved to Bangkok to study at Chulalongkorn University, one of Thailand’s historic centers of engineering education, where he earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with a focus on automotive and mechanical engineering.
An International Scholarship in the United States
After completing his studies in Thailand, George was awarded an international scholarship to continue his education and professional development in the United States. This experience exposed him to advanced engineering practices, manufacturing systems, and the highly developed American automotive and tire industry — broadening his understanding of international business, supply chains, and the commercial side of global tire trade.
Building an International Tire Business
Combining his engineering background with his time in the U.S., George developed a deep understanding of both the technical and commercial sides of the tire and automotive industry — sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and export. That foundation became the launching point for his entrepreneurial career and, ultimately, for Siam Tires Export itself.
